Ephesians
2:10 is such a powerful and inspiring verse that speaks to the purpose and
identity that every believer is called to walk in.
Think
of that talented artisan who puts so much time into creating stunning artistry
pieces of crochet. The crocheter forms the foundation out of nothing and
intricately stitches the piece, string by string into a beautiful piece; what a
labor of love!
Now
think of your life in the hands of our Master, Jesus Christ. Consider the
opening words, “For we are His workmanship.” This declaration reminds us that
each one of us is a masterpiece crafted by the loving hands of God. Just as a
skilled artist invests time, skill, and care into creating a work of art, God
is investing His love, wisdom, and creativity into forming us into what He
wants us to be.
We
have been created in Christ Jesus and this means that looking up to him, as the
author and finisher of our faith will spiritually transform, renew and make us
ready to do good works. These good works make up our destiny. Before we were
born, and even much later when God’s plan aligned you to Daystar University, He
planned in advance your destiny and the good works you would do to fulfill it!
Through
your everyday routine, He models you into purpose such that your life will be a
masterpiece that will speak forth all that he desires in your life. Apostle
Paul provides us with a roadmap for living a purposeful and meaningful life in
Christ through the ultimate call in Ephesians 2:10; that God prepared beforehand.
When something is prepared for you, you must be ready to partake in it. In this
very measure, He desires that you would walk in His steps.
When
we intentionally yield to God, our pre-arranged destiny comes to pass and we
will be rewarded for simply doing what he wanted us to accomplish. There is a
reward from Jesus for us as mentioned in Revelation 22:12, according to what
each person has done.
In
the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good
works and glorify your father in Heaven. Let your light symbolize hope,
goodness and the knowledge of Christ. Allow it to dispel darkness, reveal truth
and guide your way in times of uncertainties.
Carrying
the Legacy of Light requires you to pass on these virtues to the world because
our purpose in Christ is not passive. We are not just meant to exist or survive
but to thrive and contribute. Leave behind a lasting impact of your good works
that will continue to shine bright even after you have left.
Live
out your faith in the world through acts of kindness, love, and service to
others. In doing so, you become the hands and feet of Jesus, carrying out His
work on earth. He has already laid out a path for you, filled with
opportunities to engage in good works and serve others in the name of Christ.
Your journey is not aimless; it is purposeful and ordained by our Heavenly
Father.
In
light of our theme verse, my prayer is that we will be inspired to live a life
filled with gratitude for our identity as God’s workmanship, a life of service
to others through good works, and a life of obedience to God’s divine plan.
Seek God’s guidance, listen to His leading, and align your steps with His
preordained plan.
Standout
in whatever you do as a professional in the marketplace and in doing so, you
not only find fulfillment and joy but also become instruments of God’s love and
grace in this world.
“And
we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those
who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Step
out as a re-created person that will fulfill the destiny God has given you.
Light up the world within and around you and leave a Legacy!
