Embarking
on a journey of a thousand miles always begins with that one pivotal step. It
is the kind of step that can shape your destiny, lead you down the path of your
true calling, and leave an indelible mark on your life’s narrative. But today,
we are not just talking about any ordinary step; we are talking about the extraordinary
one taken on January 18th, 2022. It was a day etched in the annals of our
institution’s history – the groundbreaking ceremony for the Daystar University
School of Nursing complex.
Fast
forward to one year and a week, the date being the 26th of January 2023; the
day that had us basking in the joyous glow of what that momentous step has
brought forth. It is a celebration, a culmination, a realization of dreams that
once existed only in the realm of imagination.
So,
as we inaugurate the Daystar University School of Nursing complex, let us
remember that every great achievement, every monumental undertaking, begins
with that one defining step. And today, we take that step together, hand in
hand, towards a brighter, healthier, and more compassionate future.
Guests
in attendance were numerous, including the Members of the Board of Trustees,
The Daystar University Council, Members of the Daystar University Senate,

University’s nursing graduates and their commitment to values like respect,
empathy, and responsibility. Pro. Laban Ayiro recognized key contributors,

role of faith in Daystar University’s journey and the importance of faith in
pleasing God.
They
also emphasized blessings and encouraged the audience to seek blessings through
prayer. The chair recounted personal stories and emphasized the importance of
appreciating the medical community’s efforts. The event was concluded by the
chief guest, Mrs. Margaret Sirima, who shared her personal connection to
Daystar University and praised the institution for its excellent nursing
program.
The

lecture rooms, simulation labs, an accident and emergency department,
collaborative rooms, surgical units, a reproductive health room, a medical
examination room, and a skills lab. There are also classrooms of varying sizes
and designated spaces for faculty to observe and assess students during
practical sessions.
In
conclusion, the launch of the Daystar School of Nursing Complex is a remarkable
